yello_candle_1.png20850.png410.png Deep within the Scorched Forest dwells Mafalda the Ash Seer. She arrived in the forest as a young dragon, eager and ambitious, searching for adventure. Dragons from across the land told rumors about the Nests of the Fallen Foxglove taking in dragons of all kinds, and she intended to join it. As a hatchling, she'd heard that the clan taught their dragons how to use magic; she wanted that power too. A troupe of dragons from the Fallen Foxglove often traveled to her birth clan in the Ashfall Waste to perform. Bright sparks flowed from their hands, wands, and mouths in beautiful arrangements. They sparkled, enchanting Mafalda. From then on, she sought the excitement of magical performance, though her clan of metalworkers didn't let her explore her talents. She ran away to follow the troupe shorty after she reached young dragonhood.

She spent many months searching for the Fallen Foxglave clan. Dragons often spoke of the mist that covered the clearing it resided in, hiding it from malicious souls eager to infiltrate the clan's peaceful haven. It's said that at the heart of the clearing was a sparkling spring with a fountain made of amethyst at the center that had the power to heal any wound, and - under the right circumstances - grant the bather immortality.

Mafalda wasn't really after all that. She just wanted to learn magic. Performance, grandeur - that's what she wanted.

After searching for nearly a year, she found the Fallen Foxglove's clearing. It was as if she had wandered into paradise. For the first time in her life, she felt home.
