Sweet and only vaguely understood, Danika is the Eleventh. Poor Danika is much too polite to say anything about how much she hates the cold in the Ice flight with no warm clothes to wear, so she'll just sort of suffer through. (She did bring this upon herself, however, as she is the one who wanted to travel around to learn more about her cousins to the South.) She handles relations with the Fire flight clans that sometimes encroach onto Ice flight territory - Clan Zmaj really is located so far north on the floes. Many Coatls are part of those clans, and she finds them easy to talk to. She gets along with most everyone, though through unfortunate species limitations, she can't talk to Kolya, Tsvetanka, or Faris alone. Someone has to translate their monotone speech for her. Cultural differences are so hard when you're both elements and breeds apart. She and Senka are close, as well as her and Kasimir. Tihomir she has a special little place in her heart for. She considers Petra her adoptive little sister, and acts as a Draconian translator for her. Things get confusing if Kolya speaks to Petra - Kolya has to have Mateja translate Fae monotones into Draconian enunciation so that Danika can tell Petra (in Coatl) what he's saying. Really, everyone should work on communication. |
