Biography
TECHLAUGHTRACK goes by Tech for short, because not everyone has the vigor to get all the way to the end of his name at the top of their lungs. He considers himself a proud father, a loving husband, an excellent singer, and a hilarious comedian. He can be called the first two, but not so much the others. He adores his wife, BLOODYWAIL who often shows her love by shrieking at him while beating him about the head and neck with her wings. Her complaints vary, ranging from his hideous wheezing laughter to his latest act of idiocy and memery. Of course, shouting is the highest form of affection, and she gives the cutest little lovetaps. To his distress, she often ends up tearing her wings on his spines, but it hasn’t affected their very special love.
He's very proud of his daughter TECHIEWAIL who is an incredibly successful DJ, following in the GREAT SHOUTBIRD TRADITION SET DOWN BY HIS PARENTS not only in name, but by playing incredibly loud music which he's sure all her clanmates enjoy. He's not entirely sure how she does it, but he's very proud of her for pressing all those buttons on her blinky light box. Some of the latest samples of music she's sent him also seem to involve incredibly loud guitar chords and screaming, so he knows that she's doing him proud. A few of his children have changed their names to something... Well, quieter, which baffles him. Why on earth would they choose to break with the GREAT SHOUTBIRD TRADITION? However, he is still (loudly) supportive. After all, every baby bird has to leave the nest someday, even if they choose to do so quietly.
Tech's favorite musical genres range from Embarrassingly Old Music That Was Popular When I Was Your Age, to Why Do You Always Have To Put On Opera And Sing Along When My Friends Visit, to Please Please Please Stop Playing The Same ABBA Song On Repeat. He sings along to all of them, at the top of his lungs, in horrendously out of tune counterpoint. Nothing can stop him. They have tried everything. EVEYRTHING. He has recently taken up practicing on an out-of-tune horn, which he calls his LOUDMAKER.
His favorite jokes range from terrible puns, to equally terrible dad jokes. From “I tried to eat a clock once, but I couldn't finish. IT WAS JUST TOO TIME CONSUMING!” to the ever popular “HI HUNGRY! I'M TECH!” Every one of his hatchlings quickly learns never to ask if mom is around, because after a thoughtful pause, he's tell them “No, she's more of a pearlcatcher.” Every one of his jokes and puns are quickly followed by a burst of loud, wheezing laughter, as Tech laughs longer and harder at his own jokes than anyone else. Some of his offspring, having seen that his parents and siblings are all JUST AS LOUD AS HE IS think he might have developed it to make sure everyone heard him. Others are equally certain that he practices his terrible jokes and the most obnoxious laugh in the world solely to embarrass them. (One of them once bought him a JUMBO SPICY BIG DAD t-shirt as a joke. He wears it everywhere.)
