Morgana was once the mate of Fierce, and second in command of his rogue collective. She followed him when he broke off from the Stronghold and stayed loyal to his cause. Her feelings started to sour a bit when Fierce showed clear favoritism when it came to their children, casting aside their first three hatchlings once Dirge was born, which eventually led her to betray her mate, aiding Crystalline with the coup that would defeat her husband and send him away from the Renegades.

Morgana, despite her treachery and vicious nature that could even rival her former mate, always put her children first and foremost, especially her only daughter Hemlock. So much so that when Crystalline suggested that Hemlock was going to betray their group and that Morgana should intervene, the mother refused her leader’s order and berated her for even thinking she would go through with it. In retaliation, Crystalline used some of her newfound dark magic to transfigure Morgana into something monstrous, something that one could consider not even a dragon anymore. With this, she was cursed to become unflinchingly loyal to the Renegades and especially to Crystalline, and unable to refuse any order. Morgana is now essentially a soulless puppet, punished for fighting back against her leader for the sake of her children.
