If there was ever a dragon to not be taken lightly, it would be Crystalline. I know that underneath everything, she looks unassuming to the naked eye. Believe me, she’s used that to her advantage. She was born to two powerful members of the Stronghold; the alchemist called Pendragon and the mage known as Enchantress. She grew up in the glory days of the Stronghold…but she was never really satisfied with her life there. She wanted to be noteworthy, to be feared, to be a dragon who would go down in history, and the leadership of the Stronghold did not offer that in the slightest with their peacekeeping and non-confrontational nature. So when she was offered a place in Fierce’s group of violent renegades, she knew she found her place. She left the Stronghold behind on the day Fierce made his disdain public, leaving behind her heartbroken parents, as well as her distraught mate, Fabio. I can tell you for a fact that none of them expected her to betray her birthplace in the way she did…and none of them certainly expected what would happen afterwards.

Crystalline was given high rank in Fierce’s renegade group, and she was satisfied for a little while as the group grew and grew with more members. It took some time for ambition to start clawing at her again. Crystalline soon became dissatisfied with Fierce’s leadership as well; she believed him to be dragging his feet in his promise of destruction for the Stronghold, and she was tired of waiting. She managed to bring a reluctant Morgana to her side as well as Dirge, Fierce’s most aggressive son, in her plan to take control of the renegade group. The plan went through, and Fierce was left mortally wounded, scarred, and exiled from the renegades that he had brought together. Crystalline was pleased, making Dirge her second in command as she took control of the group.

Crystalline has since proven to be far more ruthless and hungry for violence than even her predecessor. I remember once I caught a glimpse of her pearl; it no longer had any luster, and was growing dark and muddy much like her soul. She rules with an iron claw, keeping a tight hold on those underneath her watch and not tolerating insubordination of any kind. There are dragons that can tell you what happens to those she is displeased with; who do you think blinded Hemlock, or cursed Morgana to become a mindless and loyal puppet to her will? The latter troubles me the most. What sort of terrible magic has Crystalline discovered to make it possible to do that to a dragon?

Be careful if you see shimmering scales in the dark of the forest at night; you never know what sort of monsters lurk in the shadows.

Crystalline, daughter of two long standing and famous members of the Stronghold, is now the leader of a group of aggressive renegades after forcibly taking leadership from Fierce. She is ruthless and cold, not feeling remorse for the suffering she inflicts upon others. She does know how to use those under her to her advantage however, and rarely ever breaks a deal when she makes it with one of her fellows. She’s also recently taken up learning many powerful forms of dark magic that can be used to control others.
