Ketsugen is the clan's 'clown'. He acts funny and can easily make light of a bad situation. Though his playful antics brighten the mood of most dragons, they get on the nerves of Mira. Ketsugen is Kashikoi's best friend, and they have been best friends ever since they were hatchlings.
