Owner of Brioche's | Baker | Sassy
A chatty, sassy Coatl, Brioche is known for always smelling of delicious, freshly baked bread no matter where she goes. While she is a native of Ice, she is not a native of Snow Globe. Her arrival at the clan's dome was originally as a refugee from a rare and vicious war for land dominion with a neighboring Ice clan who had their eyes on the wealthy community shielded by the village's namesake. Nursed back to health by Esmeralda and Niahm, Brioche was quickly back to her feet and itching to get to work despite protests from Niahm and insistence that she rest until her bandages were safely removed. Gratefully for the Snapper, it was soon obvious that despite the Coatl's sharp tongue she was a pacifist at heart, and as such not much help in the battlefield. Instead the Coatl took to helping the shelter keeper around, trying her best to both be useful and get as little in the way as possible, a hard feat as the shelter seemed to be fuller by the day. Finding she was best in the kitchen, Niahm was pleasantly surprised by the delectable scent of freshly baked bread that quickly spread throughout the shelter, rousing even the weakest of the dragons there at the hope of a warm, delicious meal. Her bread's taste soon reaching fame throughout the village, Brioche decided to make the village her permanent home once her bandages had come off, and with the remaining treasure she had from her travels she bought and fixed a small, cozy bakery whose scent spread throughout the snowy village like wildfire, winning over most of the permanent residents, namely Niahm - who still received baskets of bread for her shelter whenever the busy Coatl could spare the time - and a sour, lonely Imperial said to be the diplomat of a Nature clan allied with Snow Globe. Curious over the Imperial's bitter nature despite his celebrated status in the village - particularly after his clan's aid in the war - Brioche approached him in her usual fashion, no doubt angering and further annoying him in their first few encounters. It wasn't until he opened up and admitted to his homesickness due to how different the snowy fields of Ice were in comparison to his warm Nature clan that they bonded, Brioche always eager to hear stories of The Enclave as well as his lavishing compliments of how her cooking reminded him of all the things his home offered. Now living together with the diplomat as mates, it is common to see them walking side by side towards the bakery every morning where he works on his papers and reports while waiting for Brioche to be done for the day and she distracts him endlessly sneaking beverages and nuzzles at him during customer wave intervals. |
