Not much is known about Merilingwen, she just appeared one day out of the night. They say she was born of the alliance between the shadowy dark and the starlight. She's not very welcoming, and rather shy, talking mainly to the other's who appeared in the same manner as she, out of nowhere. The nomads and the mercenaries call this group of mysterious dragons simply as "the Lost Ones," and they have many theories surrounding them. Meril rarely deigns to speak to anyone else, not because she is a rude sort of dragon, but more because she doesn't see the point. You'll only be telling her something she already knows, or something of little importance. Merilingwen is closest to Lhaineth, her lover. The two are soul mates, bound together by something much stronger than anything in the known world.

Merilingwen is sometimes referred to as the Wordsmith, and rightfully so. The words she writes are beautiful, something to behold. Everything about her tales are beautiful, from the penmanship to the words themselves. Along with writing down stories, she'll sometimes tell the tales as well, spinning them like spider webs. Those who hear them say they're things out of legend, and the way she tells them, you would think she was there.
