When in a physical fight, Rob prefers to use short blades. He has a quick hand and knows where to strike to quickly and efficiently take down his enemies. However, after a few mysterious buffs given to him by Kemuel and after magic begins to return to the world, he's been able to master runic magic and finds a lot more success when using magic to fight.

~~(Asking Kemuel to fight his battles for him still proves to be the fastest and easiest way to end a conflict but doesn't want to be too reliant on him.)~~

Increased Hardiness & Healing
While no one is sure why, Rob has always had a strong endurance. He is able to withstand beatings and injuries that would have most people down and out of a fight. Of course, he has his limitations just like anyone else and does become weaker with each new injury. However, in addition to his increased endurance, he also tends to heal at a faster rate than what is considered normal so he can quickly get back into the fight.

Natural Skeleton Key
Secrets and knowledge are always kept behind locked doors, but luckily Rob has never found a lock that could keep him out ~~(or in)~~ for long. Physical or Magical, leave him alone with a key or seal long enough and he will eventually find his way around it. Personally, he loves the challenge of the harder locks but worries he'll end up unlocking the wrong lock someday.

Photographic Memory
Since he was taught to read, Rob's been absorbing the information of anything he can get his claws on and conveniently, he remembers everything he's ever read. He has tons of miscellaneous information about the 'Old World' after he and Rylee ended up living in an old library for a couple of years. He's still pretty bitter that he didn't get to finish reading everything there before it was burned down by bandits.

Runic Magic
Though Rob always had a small degree of magical ability, it really didn't begin to shine through or flourish until after the 'Magical Big Bang' occurred and magic was suddenly abundant across a once barren land. Since then, the ability to see and weave magic using runes has almost been like second nature to him. He has a specialty in breaking binding seals and magic specifically, but can cast and use most runic magic period.

____Rob is the older sibling between he and his twin sister, Rylee. Thus he always saw himself as his sister's protector in a world that mostly saw her as an object to be bartered with and would throw his life down for hers without hesitation if it were necessary. However, the male twin has always had a natural wonder and curiosity for the ways of the world and much prefers to be left alone with an interesting book, an empty journal, and his own thoughts.

____Having to survive on their own in such a cutthroat world from a young age, Rob tends to overthink 'everything' in an effort to prepare for trouble, and worries twice as much about the things he can't control. He also feels his emotions rather intensely at times but he has trouble letting himself show those emotions to anyone aside from his sister and Kemuel, often worrying about coming off too strongly or maybe even appearing ridiculous in certain situations. Instead, to those who don't know him, Rob mostly comes off as a reserved, non-intimidating kind of individual. He may have been able to live a pretty average life, if not for the fair looks he and his twin share.

Prologue

____The Twins were born to their mother and father who were generally loving parents. However, disagreeing with some of the beliefs of the community they were raised in, they were forced to flee and their parents lost their lives in the escape. The twins would find an old library to call their home, until a couple of years later, they would meet Bruce and Sela. Bruce was six years their senior and just trying to survive with his younger sister Sela, who was around their age. After a run in with raiders who were pursing Bruce and Sela leaves their home burnt to ashes, Bruce 'adopts' Rob and Rylee and the four begin to survive together.
