Biography

Miana
Dancer

As you make your way through Waterside you come across a building with a sign hanging out front that reads 'Flowing Steps Dance School.' The soft chime of bells greets you as you enter the building.
One wall is made up of floor to ceiling mirrors with a bar running across it about three feet from the floor. The floors are made of a light wood, polished to a dull sheen, and a row of shelves sits along the wall opposite the mirrors.
At the far end of the room there is a blood colored Coatl dressed in flowing blue silks teaching a class made up of Imperials, Skydancers, and Faes. After a few moments of watching them she finally notices you and calls for a break. She makes her way over to you, and you notice several scars marring her hide.

"Greetings, if you're looking to join a class I'd be more than happy to help you out, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait until this class is over. There are some chairs over there if you'd like to take a seat."

"Of the pair hatched to Silael and Cook, Miana was the favorite. Silael brought them to the auction house and stayed with them for a period of time. During that time, she rarely acknowledged Tyriel, her son and barely spoke of him to potential buyers. Despite displaying extreme qualities that only worsened with this neglect, Silael chose to dismiss him into the back of her mind.
Miana noticed though. While her mother complimented her and promised her a bright future, Miana was busy watching her brother pull his own feathers out and glare at them. It brought out the worst in him that peaked when Silael stepped away once. She returned in the midst of a scuffle between Miana and Tyriel and managed to separate them after Miana had received a painful gash along her flank. It healed but the scar was a reminder to the dark coatl that her brother was more dangerous than she previously assumed yet the fear that played in the back of her mind morphed into pity.
When Silael left them to go back to the ship she sailed on, her only request was to a neighboring seller that the money used be sent to her on the ship.
Tyriel and Miana got along well when there weren’t any buyers around to worsen the situation. They would jest and wrestle and even have long talks into the evenings that Miana thoroughly enjoyed yet nothing gold could stay. The time they spent at the auction house being speculated took its toll on Miana nearly as much as she felt it did on Tyriel. Her brother’s dark moods only grew darker when they came around and he grew more violent with each passing look and it showed on both of them. Tyriel’s wings were bare of feathers and Miana had an assortment of large and small scars. She could fight and occasionally did fight back when he became too violent but the scars weren’t as apparent on him. She simply didn’t want to harm her brother."

Luckily Miana never did have to hurt her brother, as she was taken in by Xander shortly after he was purchased. Miana was initially very quiet and reserved after being brought back to the clan's lair, which at the time was located in a series of underwater caves, but after meeting Fiametta she slowly started to come out of her shell. Fiametta taught her to dance, and it turned out she was a natural at it, learning quickly until the two eventually started working together. Dancing made her happier than anything else, and she was more than happy to help teach others.
After the clan was forced to relocate to Isle Tallulah Miana helped to build a school to teach Dancing at with Fiametta and the rest of their group. Now, when she's not working at Susie's bar, she's helping teach others to dance.

Miana is a very kind and caring dragon, although sometimes she may put the needs of others above those of her own. She's happiest when dancing, her movements being fluid and graceful, to the enjoyment of those watching. She still bears scars from her time spent at the auction house with her brother, but she doesn't seem bothered by them, even when rude or curious hatchlings ask about them.
"When I dance, I forget everything else and just feel completely happy."
