Dem'akal grew up on the streets, thieving, but was taken in by a leatherworker who caught them stealing and instead of punishment offered an apprenticeship. They enjoyed working productively with their hands, but after learning all the leatherworker and her tailor mate had to teach, they grew restless and wished to move on. Next they sought out a blacksmith, then a jeweler, always eager to learn new skills, and they would find joy in creation but always the restless itch returned. Perhaps it was the Wind calling but they wanted to travel. When the airship arrived, they knew it was fate. Demakal now serves as Quartermaster aboard the Cosmic Seeker, , procuring (through quite above-board, if sometimes cut-throat, means) and mantaining supplies for the running of the ship, as well as helping Nexus find items for his collection and getting him the best bargain.
