Biography

Dawn, the stranger.
He unnerved the hatchlings, this he knew, with the stern, penetrating gaze he possessed. They played little games, daring one another to see who could come closer to him without attracting his attention. He humoured them this, at least. It's the least he could do. He'd heard the rumours: 'Dawn's a demon', 'Dawn's a ghost', or, most entertaining of all, the hypothesis that he was an alien, or the love-child of the Arcanist and Flamecaller, oddly enough. He never was quite sure where that one originated.
Dawn, the magister.
He let the rumours spread, allowing his reputation of mystique to precede him where he went. He was, after all, at heart, an entertainer. His odd, eccentric sense of fashion and almost mannequin-like mannerisms all server to propagate this very image. He let the gossip roll off his back like shadow or sea-spray, preferring to twist the words spat about him behind his back to his own advantage.
Dawn, the entertainer.
He could sweep reality away with a stroke of his cane, make sunlight ripple to his whim, as if all of reality were an illusion grasped in the palm of his taloned hand.
His hat contained, beneath it, countless oddities and curios, fit to astonish any dragon, hatchling or not. The mist that swirled around his feet smelled of toasted marshmallow and popcorn, and his shadow never quite seemed to reflect the true silhouette his profile should have cast.
Dawn, the enigma.
He now refused to hear of the theories whispered about him, chuckling darkly when asked by a fearful, star-struck hatchling whether he was a creature of flesh and blood. He had decided the questions would simply remain unanswered, simply another part of his act. He would take the knowledge to the grave. Death was what, after all, if not another great mystery.
Dawn, himself.
