When Cyber awoke, his world was dark, and smelled like rust and oil. He didn't know where he had come from, or who he was. These were his first memories in this life.

His cybernetic heart beat in his iron chest, and as he took a breath of the sour air, it seemed to catch in his throat. Perhaps he didn't belong anywhere, he thought as he shook off the dust, and sneezed. Where would a being like me belong? Part dragon, part metal, part gears, part electricity. A monster.

It took a long time for anyone to come. He lay on the ground of that dark workshop for a very long time. Not sleeping, not really. He couldn't sleep. Just... hibernating. Just thinking. There was no point going anywhere. Where would he go anyway? What purpose did he have? He didn't know where he had come from or who had made him. He hadn't seen another living thing from the moment he woke up.
