- Joined the clan at his mate's behest, following one of her prophecies that they actually managed to figure out. He doesn't exactly love it here, but if she thinks this is where they're meant to be, that's enough for him. (Doesn't mean he can't grouse about it, though.)
- A bit vain. Insistent on cleanliness, hates having his feathers out of place, and very, very aware that he and his mate are stunning examples of coatlhood. (And if you brightfeathers say otherwise, he's going to bite you. ALL of you.)
- He can be a bit condescending sometimes. If someone doesn't understand something that he thinks is simple, he's not likely to be of any help.
- Insults non-coatls a lot since they can't understand him and he doesn't understand them. Why not? It's not like they speak each other's language. He gets frustrated, and they get frustrated, so there's no reason NOT to be rude, yeah?
- Doesn't speak Common Draconic very well at all. He was raised by a young coatl pair out in the shifting expanse that didn't have much contact with anyone else. Kind of refuses to learn it now. Too much effort for too little payback, or so he says.
- Actually quite clever. His pride just gets in his way a lot.
- Thinks it's abominably cold in the Starfall Isles. He tends to stay near the forges or inside the lair. The journey across the outer ocean to get to Starscythe didn't sit well with him.
- Sweet on Echo. So sweet on Echo, okay, it's not even reasonable. There is a lot of affectionate preening between them and laying together in piles of fluff. She's the one person who consistently comes before his pride.
- Likes taking things apart to see how they work, which has led to some... misunderstandings. Especially in an arcane clan. An arcane clan that has a lot of really interesting, really delicate lab equipment that's incredibly entertaining to tease apart and put back together. He's really good at it, hasn't broken a single thing yet, but arcanes get... touchy... sometimes.
- Has some misanthropic tendencies. He doesn't really believe in 'the inherent good of dragonkind' or anything of the sort. People are mean, nasty creatures and he doesn't like them very much at all. Except Echo. Echo is perfect. Don't contradict him on this; she's perfect.
- Sometimes helps Echo with her duties on the insect farm, but mostly spends time being irritable and tinkery.
