Caryis is a hard-boiled spelunker. He specializes in scouting the land for information. Caryis is one of the usual members of Abyss's exploration team, as well as her right-hand man. They frequently infiltrate Dragonhome on quests in search of treasure.

Caryis will disguise himself among the locals of any region to scout. Once he has retrieved information, he reports back to the team so they can map out their expedition. Wherever Abyss is, Caryis follows. Although he's somewhat temperamental, he's a very caring dragon who is very protective of the ones he cares about. Caryis hates staying in one place for too long so he's often traveling and scouting.

Caryis was the first dragon to discover that Cardinal, Ark's right-hand man, was actually a spy for the Arcanist. Er, ex-spy, according to the extremely suspicious coatl. Caryis ends up following Cardinal around 24/7 to make sure that he truly has no plans to harm the guild or its guildmasters. Through this, Caryis begins to bond with and trust Cardinal more. They eventually end up falling in love with each other.
