Mate: Ancient Lavender is a gentle giant. She is one of the oldest dragons in the Poppy Clan and she speaks slowly and calmly at all times. In her youth, she grew tired of the Carrion Canyon and its endless gray and bone-white scenery. She craved color, brightness, a landscape to give new life to her lackluster paintings. She traveled the world, delighting in the variety the eleven territories offered her. In particular, Lavender fell in love with the Windswept Plateau's ability to dry her paintings quickly, and even more than that, the luscious field of vibrant poppies that seemed to follow the Poppy Clan wherever they went. Her love was only furthered when she met her mate Ancient. As the years went by, Lavender became a true master of landscape painting, her massive canvases decorating the lair she calls home. There is no question among the Artist's Guild that she is deserving of her title as headmistress.

Currently, her two firstborn daughters Phlegethon and Artemis are building their own lives in the Audacious Clan, the recognized sister clan of the Poppy Clan. Yet, Lavender remains on the Windswept Plateau continuing to tutor blooming artists. Though separated from her children most of the time, her love for them and her home will never run out.
