Found wandering the wilds as a child, the young Skydancer doesn't remember who her parents were or where she came from. The only memory she brought with her was the single word she could speak, her own name, Freckled.

Despite the rough childhood, Freckled grew up loved by the clan that adopted her; with not two parents but many. She had been found soon after the war that ravaged the clan and was taken as a bright sign that light was still in the world.

As an adolescent, Freckled bonded with an Imperial about her age; Prophet, who had been adopted when young because of his ability to dream walk in the future. At first she had thought the Imperial a female, but upon his explanation that he had been born in the wrong body, Freckled realized that that didn't change her love for him. The two were quickly a mated pair.

When Prophet decided to join her in training, Freckled requested her classes to be switched from magic to tooth and claw to match her beloved.
