Malo was born to the metallic ozone smells and the crackling thunderclouds of the Shifting Expanse. An explorer at heart, she loved to fly above the canyons and deserts of the Stormcatcher's realm. Her clan didn't understand her desire to always be in the skies, and constantly tried to get her to work harder on the Canyons' crackling lines and unseen machines.
One night she strayed too far into Light's territory during a nighttime storm and became totally lost. Already confused, when Malo was spied by a frightening shadow (maybe a Roc?) she turned tail and fled in a random direction. She was chased over crumbling citadels and crashing waves (the Sunbeam Ruins, she later realized) to the edges of the Gladekeeper's northern domain. She thought she was done for, but just when hope seemed lost, her pursuer became trapped in a tangle of thorny vines that hadn't been there before...
The Gladekeeper had sensed the skydancer needed shelter, and Malo's heightened Skydancer senses led her to a nearby pond in the Gladeveins where she met a young, handsome coatl named Chip. She needed little encouragement when he offered her a place in the Fernpath Clan.
Malo's favorite pastime is flying as high up as she can, then turning over and diving dramatically downward to see what death-defying speeds she can attain. Hence the aviator cap. She is also a Coliseum trainer, teaching others her ferocious Lightning Warrior fighting style and serving as a capable spark-wielding battlemage.
Her favorite prank is sneaking up on people and static-shocking them.
