Adzari was raised in a palace in the southern lightbeam ruins, the ocean on one side, a desert on the other. The eldest of her siblings, she grew up with them in the palace in their mother's jewellery shop. To her mother's disappointment, she had no interest in the intricate necklaces and rings that covered the workbenches. Instead of learning her mother's craft, Adzari would spend all her time reading, or being chased out of the bookstore by the irritated shopkeeper as she never bought anything. Once she felt she had learned all she could from there, she started to sneak into the palace's library, and then into the desert to watch the nomad's fight. She was fascinated by their fighting techniques, how light they were on their feet and how viciously they swung their two blades. She was eager to learn how to fight as they did herself, but just as eager to hear their stories. Adzari would spend all her free hours with them, and once she picked up their language they grew fond of her and slowly taught them their ways.

It took her years to master, but master it she did, along with their stories and their gambling techniques. She'll join them on raids occasionally, and they call her "The Jackal" for the scrappy way that she fights, but she tries to avoid physical confrontation if she can. When she's not sneaking out to steal books from caravans, or to convince the travellers outside the cities to tell her their stories and their secrets, she helps her mother out at the shop.

It is at the shop that Adzari meets Lucrezia for the first time; she'd come from the Weathering to speak with her mother, an old friend of hers, and sees Adzari's potential as she easily gets a customer to tell her that she'd gotten the necklace she'd brought in to be fixed off of the black market, a high crime in the city. When Lucrezia approached her with the offer of an apprenticeship with her, Adzari was thrilled. Her mother, a retired assassin herself, was less excited, but was finally convinced to let her go.

Adzari has been with the Weathering since, and is now a full fledged assassin. Her missions are more of the information-recon than anything else, as that is what she is most skilled at and certainly most driven towards. If anything, Adzari is just a highly dangerous researcher, and will often return with far more information than asked.
