Having been born from the depths of the Wyrmwound, Cercos draws many of her traits from the land of Plague. She is hardy and adaptable, vicious and subtle when she needs to be. She journeyed into Nature territory in hopes of carving out a section of land to pollute. Instead, what she ended up finding was a blossoming clan of mismatched dragons. Her first meeting with the matriarch Sidonia did not go well. They fought long and hard before Cercos surrendered; she wished to join a clan led by such a fearsome dragon. Since then Cercos has made herself useful keeping foreign dragons at bay through threats or other, less savory means. Despite her downright terrifying nature in battle, Cercos is generally a friendly and positively cuddly dragon. She struck up a friendship with Muntz because she reminded her of home, but their bond grew and deepened as they started to get to know each other. Muntz's continued survival and fortitude despite being covered in her harmful fungus is a sign of strength to Cercos. She sees no reason to be put off by it and she willingly touches Muntz. She is happy to nap with Muntz and help her groom as well as doing any other activities that other dragons are to squeamish to do with Muntz. She also helps Muntz on days where she is not feeling so well and encourages her to keep doing her best. This is really the only time where she uses her emotional sensitivity to help because she believes others in the clan are not worthy of her care. She is bitter towards many of her clan mates due to their treatment of Muntz, though the ones she does like she tends to be excessively kind towards. Following Muntz's recent downward spiral, Cercos has closed herself off to others. She tirelessly patrols and fights trying to expend her frustration and excess energy. She has become snippy and easily irritated, no longer interested in the clan's welfare. She spends all of her extra time trying to approach Muntz and soothe her. It pains Cercos immensely to see her soul-mate harm herself this way, wishing she could help her or take her place. Cercos knows it is only a matter of time before Muntz becomes too weak and dies, but until then Cercos will do everything she can to keep her alive. She is quietly steeling herself and readying supplies for her eventual departure. |
