Sandcastle
Head of Fishspine Scolia and its Aqua Assembly

Sandcastle joined clan SeaRuffle when, upon passing by when wandering afield from her parents' nest, she heard MahiMahi singing. Sandcastle wanted her family to visit him so that she too could learn to sing like that, but when her homebody father proved reluctant to leave their clan even for a short trip, Sandcastle struck out on her own and decided to join SeaRuffle.

Once a member of the clan, while she progressed somewhat in learning to sing from MahiMahi, Sandcastle couldn't quite seem to settle on a single set of duties. Some days, she poked her nose into the hunters' business; others, she spent with MahiMahi and Volcano, instructing the clan's hatchlings. On others, she slid her tail into the clan's books to learn about its finances, only to be chased away by an irritable Honei.

What soon became clear, however, was that Sandcastle had both a wide range of interests and a flair for taking charge. Under her oversight, MahiMahi and Volcano developed a stronger order of study for the hatchlings. Honei, though disliking the oversight, became more prompt in her maintenance of the clan's accounts. The hunters sometimes returned with more game. As a result, when the clan decided to found Fishspine Scolia, Sandcastle was nominated by all to take charge of its leadership. She then became the Head of the Scolia's governing board, the Aqua Assembly.

Sandcastle has taken to this new responsibility with energy, dedication, and flair. She is tireless in her commitment to the Scolia's betterment, that it might become a leading light for education in that most challengingly abstruse of pursuits, water magic. It was in this light that she made the groundbreaking decision to both accept and solicit beastkin participation along with the participation of dragon scholars. Her goal is for the Scolia to become one of--if not the--top institution for magical learning in all of Sornieth. She looks forward to returning to her natal Driftwood Clan for visits and sharing with her parents the accomplishments of the Scolia.

She is a familiar sight amidst the caves of the Scolia, often accompanied by her equally energetic familiar, Splash. Much more rarely can she be heard to sing, but her duets with MahiMahi are considered one of the clan's greatest beauties.
