Biography

Sillin
Racer
2252.png
What was that dark blue blur? Probably Sillin. Sillin has a need for speed that is unusual for a Fae. She pushes her strong wings as far as they can go, aiming high for the mysterious and uncanny agility her father possesses and further still. She enjoys physical challenges against dragons many times her size, shedding not one iota of determination should she lose against them. This competitive nature does not affect her attitude towards others, and in fact Sillin is a talkative and sociable dragon with many friends.

Sillin is a child of the clan and has lived her entire life in and above the watery territories of Driftwood Shore. She claims to know the clan upside-down and backwards, and is eager to greet strangers and show them everything possibly worth showing, talking in a loud and excited monotone. This stands in sharp contrast to her parents- neither of whom are remotely personable- and in many ways her personality could be considered deliberate rebellion against both her father's weak ego and the icy cold independence of her mother.

History:
Sillin was hatched a mere handful of seasons after the end of the War of Swords, when the clan had just begun to pick itself back up after its losses. She marks the start of a new generation of dragons who never knew the poisonous conflict of the War, though she can see how much it affects the older dragons and is fascinated by the history of her clan. Sillin was very active during the building of the great stone columns that link Driftwood Bay with Driftwood Island, though she didn't actually build so much as fly and swim back and forth as a messenger, scout, and general endless font of annoying questions.

Physical:
Sillin is a large Fae with a short tail who has inherited her mother's dense but streamlined physique. Her wings are huge and long and more bird-like than a Fae's usual butterfly shape, with all but the two longest tassels stunted and short. Sillin's large Water Fae eyes dry out very quickly at the speeds she flies, and she is rarely seen without goggles. Underwater her flying skills mean very little, but she is also a good swimmer and has no problem navigating her sleek muscular body against strong currents, using her wings to swim.

I know it's disrespectful to those who suffered but really I'd give anything to experience the War of Swords for myself. If only I'd been hatched just a little earlier...
UPjGZkg.png Familiar:
Sillin has yet to acquire a familiar, and jokes that it's because they are all 'too slow' for her.

Parents:
Sillin has essentially disowned herself from her parents, since her mother still frostily expects her to leave for exaltation and her father meekly encourages this in the name of obeying his mate. Sillin has as little to do with them as possible and really, has much more interesting things to do and think about. She does occasionally spend time with her father- somewhat out of pity- as he is a key warrior in the clan and if very carefully encouraged can tell some fascinating stories. She has zero interest, however, in learning any of her mother's mysticism and magic.
The Earth Guardian came to build the Pillars with the assistance of Sillin and others, and never left. Sillin has great admiration for a dragon so old, and finds it absolutely fascinating to talk with him. His gentle, unhurried nature rubs off on her, and the active Fae finds herself relaxing and perching peacefully when in his company, watching him work and listening attentively to his patient answers to her chatter.

Offspring:
Though she hotly denies it, Sillin has quite the crush on the loopy, sensual Nocturne Eberri, and so far her children have only been with him. Like many of Driftwood Shore, most of her children are exalted to the Shadowbinder, though she remains unaware of this.
