Although there is no denying that Halloweve is her father's daughter, this young Nocturne isn't all that she seems. She's become the clan's ghostkeeper; she guides the ghosts of the dead along the path to the afterlife and makes sure they don't hang around to haunt her or her clan. She's fierce and protective of her Nightmarch and her clan against supernatural forces, being one of the few who can see ghosts and act against poltergeists. Against the supernatural Halloweve is a cool, fearless warrior, but away from such conflict, she's much more quiet and reserved. She has a hard time interacting regularly with living dragons (with the exception of Nightmarch), and as such spends most of her days cataloging her experiences and knitting, which is her favourite hobby. The closest dragons she'd consider friends are the other oddities in the clan: Proteus and the X-dergs. Her father is her biggest supporter and her favourite dragon, even though he doesn't always understand everything she says and is, against her will, writing a "fabulous and grand epic" of her adventures. She was Spider's biggest helper in the other Nocturne's stealthy courting of her father, and Spider’s disappearance has driven her to despair in the hope that she’ll never have to see his ghost wandering the Reaches.

Her little sparrowmouse is named Blue, and the small cats she, Nightmarch and her son are all littermates from the rescues Hearts found. She calls her cat Arawn; it likes to fly with Blue when Halloweve is away.
