harte; warrior

the golden tempest and the ebony pond

Born to a pair of wandering loners, Harte had a rough start to life. Frolicking among a brood of five, the male Pearlcatcher never had that much attention on him. He lived a primitive life until his parents decided that he was old enough to care for himself.

Harte set out to find a clan; he had heard of these groups, but he wanted to see one for himself and perhaps even join one should he be lucky. So the male went off in search of a clan. Along the way, he met many others who would teach him battle skills and such. Because of this, Harte is a reasonably good fighter.

His abilities in combat went to the extent where Harte felt that he could live off of being a paid assassin. Meandering aimlessly, the male Pearlcatcher encountered a Fire clan who hired Harte for a hefty price in order to assassinate some Shadow clan, aside from the blue male Imperial. Flattered by their heavy payment, Harte set off to eliminate this clan immediately.

Following the instructions given to him, the assassin found himself in a bustling clan that was undeniably of Shadow residence. The first dragon that he met was a blue male Imperial. This blue male Imperial turned out to be Honi, and asked Harte what he was doing within the clan borders. Harte asked to see the clan because he had a very important message for them, however, Honi refused, telling Harte that he could just tell the Leader. Frustrated, Harte flew straight ahead until he found a clearing thronging with dragons. It was the clan's base.

Harte prepared to attack when his eyes met a pulchritudinous Pearlcatcher's; her name was Iolanthe, and it was love at first sight.

Now that the male had laid eyes upon his female counterpart, he could not bear to assassinate her comrades. Submitting to the female, Harte asked to join Daffana, offering his large sum of money and his sharpened skills in battle. Impressed, Honi accepted his request, and from that moment on, Harte and Iolanthe were a married couple.

Harte values himself highly, believing himself to be talented in many areas, namely battle. The male is more skilled at dragon versus dragon than dragon versus other creature. For his age, Harte is rather skilled.

The Pearlcatcher flits between sides easily; he is not very loyal, unless if he truly loves someone, namely Iolanthe. His loyalty lies to the side where he benefits the most. Because of this, Harte does not make for a very trustworthy dragon to have on your side, as displayed when he served Honi's old clan.
