Since her birth, Iolanthe has been very beautiful. She was both her mother and father's favourite, sparking much jealousy from her littermates. As she matured, males began fawning over her, and the violet female discovered a talent in hunting, which only made her clan like her more.

All was going well until she woke up to a dark figure breaking her tail, disfiguring it forever. She did not know who it was, but strongly suspected one of her siblings.

The next day, her littermates chased their eldest sister out and forced her to leave the clan. Wounded and alone, Iolanthe could only flee in search of a mate to care for her. Although before she liked to think that her mate would need her, being alone made her realise how much she would rely on her future male suitor.

Eating only plants and easier insects, Iolanthe stayed in the wilderness for almost a month until Claec discovered the slumped over Pearlcatcher, hugging her pearl and in a state of slight delirium from her quagmire. Pitying the small dragon, Claec took her into Daffana, and that was where her story began.

On the same day that the dainty princess was brought into Daffana, her male counterpart entered the clan as well. It was love at first sight.

Iolanthe had been told of marriage within Daffana, and both Harte and his new mate knew that marriage was what they wanted. The couple begged Honi to allow them to marry, and henceforth the two were married, the proud parents of one hatchling. 		Iolanthe is a very confident dragon. She holds herself with pride and grace, taking compliments to heart and ignoring the insults about her self-centered manners. This femme believes that she really is the centre of the universe, and will challenge anyone who thinks differently.

However, Iolanthe is a tremendous flirt. She hopes to attain the best suitor in her realm and beyond, as well as be liked by the other males. Even early on in life, the Pearlcatcher had possible mates thronging at her feet.

When she walks, Iolanthe often opens and closes her wings, showcasing her beauty in all of its glory. This attracts attention, and subsequently attracts males. Despite her beauty and attainability, this show-offy manner of carrying herself puts off a lot of female friends and some males too, leaving her isolated in the friendship area contrary to her thriving romantic pool to choose from.

She is also a great huntress and forager, and could name every edible plant and animal within her natal clan's territory, however her ability to hunt was stunted when she injured her tail and lost her ability to balance. However, she still retains the knowledge, despite not being willing to share the information with her peers; she regards herself and the knowledge too highly for that.
