ABOUT Cardinal is often deep beneath the limestone cavern, where the guild's most precious project takes place: the museum. The guild members spy the coatl passing between the museum's bookshelves often. He's a delicate-looking thing, draped in layers of sunset-colored silks and feathers. Yet, an eerie glow follows him wherever he goes. Maybe it's the enchanted candles that float around him...or maybe it's the lavender fog that occasionally seeps out from beneath his cowl. To most of the guild, this man is one of the more mysterious members. One thing that's not a mystery, however, is that Cardinal does his work diligently. He is the head keeper of the museum, right beside guildmaster Ark. The coatl spends much time organizing and casting protective spells on the clan's treasures.
HISTORY Cardinal is a magician who hails from the Starfall Isles. He is a spy from the Arcane flight, sent to spy on the Arcanist’s artificial child because the Arcanist wants to bring said child back home. However, Cardinal kinda sucks at his mission. While trying to gather information on Ark, he ended up accidentally befriending the artificial fae instead. Cardinal loves books, after all, especially magical ones. Their mutual interest lead to a budding friendship, and Ark poured their trust into Cardinal--allowing him to become the co-owner of their ever-expanding museum. Cardinal ends up wanting to protect Ark from the Arcanist, but running away from an all powerful deity isn't exactly possible so he ends up feeding the Arcanist lies about Ark, instead. However, one fateful day, a coatl by the name of Caryis ends up discovering that Cardinal is a spy. Caryis plans to expose the traitorous coatl to the guildmasters. Which he was gonna do. You know. Before they fell in love with each other.
