Biography

Name: Isendra
Hoarder of knowledge

Everyone expected Isendra to become a warrior, like the rest of her family. But they forgot how impressionable young Nocturnes are.

One day when nobody was keeping an eye on her, she went exploring up into the higher canopy of the trees, and there she met Jansky, the Arcane expert and astronomer for the Wild Orchard clan.

She wanted to know all about what he was doing- what is this stargazing glass for? What are stars? Why do you care about them so much? What do you mean Shade, what's that? How come nobody else is looking at this stuff with you? Since she was just a curious little hatchling, he tried to humor her by answering her questions.

That one day was all it took; just like that, Isendra was hooked. From then on her only hobby became learning new things, and gathering that knowledge together to keep it safe in whatever way she can. Does someone know directions to a mysterious garden? Draw a map, seal the map up, and hide it away. Discover a new constellation in the stars? Engrave it on a stone tablet, stud it with gemstones for the stars, wrap it up safely, hide it in the collection. New recipe for a delicious meal? Write it down, memorize it, hide it, only share it with friends on special occasions.

No information is safe; anything and everything, useful or not, belongs in her hoard.

Her collection of knowledge is growing to a size that's getting harder to hide, and besides that Isendra is starting to feel claustrophobic. What if she runs out of new things to learn and gather in her home clan's territory? And besides, the knowledge she's collected here isn't very surprising to her fellow Nature dragons that have lived in this area even longer than she's been alive. Surely it would be more satisfying to journey out into the world, search through other territories for even more secretly hidden information? Maybe find a new clan that values what she knows, someplace where she'll be useful and respected?
