A 'hatchling-sitter'

Sunny could barely defend herself from her brother's attack once she was out of her egg. Whilst he made no lasting damage, she was left scarred regardless. Skittish and fragile, she stayed under her father's watchful wing for as long as she could. She kept to herself out of fear, but when coaxed out of her barriers, she was gentle and caring- feather light touches and wide curious eyes, she was an angel compared to her older clutchmate. Her father swelled with pride and he let her personality grow; a caring dragon with the capacity to follow in his footsteps.

Still, there was something telling Sunny she had to leave. The Search, her father said, it'll call to you until you find it. Be prepared, he warned, for the world is harsh and will take no prisoners. Still, there are dragons who will become your friends, and you will find happiness and joy with them. Let nothing hold you back, for there is a power within you. She left the lair with a mix of trepidation and excitement; a new life to lead her forward, she knew that she could make her own way.
