Erythrina was not born in Clan Zekis, and she truly feels the distance from her birthplace. She is a Nature dragon at heart, and though she loves her home in the Reedcleft Ascent, she knows deep down that it is not truly for her.

She has trouble moving about outside the lair, due to the inherent problems of a flightless dragon living on an island of cliffs. She likes to visit Hugh's lair, as it reminds her of her birth clan. She spends a lot of time with the dragon himself, due to their shared interest in plants. She, however, is more interested in the uses of the plants, while Hugh likes them for their own sake.
