Born from depths unfathomable in a place unknown, Echo is known only to Marin. Unlike her, a dragon born of the land and seeking the deep, Echo was born of pitch black waters. The surface is a mystery to her, a beast of the deep who is brave enough only to catch the light that filters down through the water above her, and not dare to come any closer. A seer from birth, she sees beyond her present surroundings, the muffled, sensory-deprived dark warping into events of the past and future. It is only through visions that she has ever known the world above.

Marin is one of the few dragons Echo has ever come into contact with. As a water dragon with a powerful tolerance for pressure, she has spent most of her life alone. Eager to communicate with a dragon she doesn't have to leave the depths for, they very quickly bonded. While at first Marin only knew of the future through the visions Echo described to her, Echo has begun teaching Marin to be a seer herself. While Echo is not a teacher by any means, describing her experiences seems to help Marin regardless. It may be that Marin already had an affinity for prediction, and coming into contact with Echo has catalyzed the ability within her.
