_Meeting Cara_

____At one point, Glade was down on his career. To boost his knowledge and earn extra writing practice, he accepted research projects in the forests and swamps, studying various avenues of botany and fauna. This led him deeper and deeper, and sometimes even within the parameters of other clans of dragons.

____He witnessed a very vulnerable moment... a dragon being exiled by her own clan. He couldn't understand why, or under what circumstances, but he saw and understood the hurt and betrayal as she ran far past them. He pursued her to a large glen, and though at first she was very surprised and hostile, Glade did his best to be calm and kind. He explained how he happened to be there, and in the meanwhile realized she could be helpful in his demographic studies. He invited her back to the Hollow, and they finished writing the project... Together. Cara found a new home with an unlikely friend, and Glade couldn't help but fall in love with her strong mind and spirit.

_New Life_

____From that moment on, Glade was a changed individual. Once thought of as arrogant, rude, snub-nosed, his spirit transcended as he worked to introduce Cara to a new home. While changing her life, she changed his. Moving throughout the clan with her, and learning about her experiences, he finally realized what his home meant to him. Over time, he became humbled by it all.

____It really wasn't an easy process. Cara had personal and societal traumas to overcome, which took lots of newfound patience from Glade as he worked to help her. Not only surprised by his new self, he was surprised now by the size of his heart, and the great capacity he finally felt to love others. It is this transformed dragon who now others have also come to love, and him to them in return. With Cara by his side, he wouldn't have it any other way.
