Aurum

First of the metal called ones, Aurum brings a slightly different aura to the clan. Precious metals and their like have a far gentler and tamer call than those of clear crystalline make, the more opaque the crystal, the more metal, the softer its presence is felt. No one truly knows why, but since Aurum's arrival, Obsidian and other researchers still left within the clan have been studying them, intent to truly understand the deep yet mild attraction between dragon and gold, curious if it could yet be applied to those in the clan in the most danger.
As for Aurum themself, they truly enjoy their almost amiable relationship with their mineral kin, and they approach it with curiosity, but fearlessness. The metal speaks to them, but kindly, answers their questions for which Aurum passes on with greater understanding to those researching fervently. The elder leaders, after witnessing the loss of much of the clan and Aurum's quick rise in trust, hope one day they will step up to be a leader with a more level head and greater knowledge, to be an example to those who are slowly losing themselves to the crystal creatures calls.
