It is rumored that long ago, Skinless stripped the flesh from their lean bodies of their own volition, as a message to the rest of dragonkind that they were invulnerable to pain, and could not be frightened by threat of violence. It has since become an inherent trait. Despite the horrifying appearance of the the Skinless, rest assured that they are not in discomfort. The exposed nerve endings of muscular and connective tissues are far less sensitive. Their surface vessels release rivulets of fresh blood, which help to cleanse dirt and bacteria amassed in a typical day. This emission is constant and accumulates as a tacky, clotted substance which covers them like a protective layer. They will avoid water at all costs, as washing away the bloody coating will leave them vulnerable to native infections. |

A sweet and affectionate Tundra, you could certainly say that Fletcher was born "out of his element." The fluffy, saccharine fellow is very much unlike his violent, gruesome Plague-mates. Unlike his ruthless predecessors, Fletcher is very vulnerable to pain. He shies away from danger whenever possible, and would never put himself or others in harm's way. The poor Tundra is very careless about germs and constantly getting his bare flesh infected, because he forgets that he is meant to avoid water and dust. Fletcher is far too humble to flaunt and far too cheerful and naive to brood on anything that upsets him, but his life is not without its own troubles. As a young Tundra, Fletcher apprenticed under the Medic of Aster Clan - Slaughterhouse - and longed to be a nurse. As her apprentice, he often fetched materials for her and went out with the stronger, older dragons to scavenge the area. Slaughterhouse taught him which substances were helpful and which were harmful, and Fletcher quickly learned his lessons, absorbing the knowledge eagerly.
When a particularly battered young Tundra - Iur - came to Aster Clan after escaping the tumultuous state of warfare her old clan was in, Slaughterhouse had very serious injuries to attend to. Iur was hurt and ill, and it took all of Slaughterhouse's hard work and expertise to save her. Fletcher, who longed with all of his might to be a nurse, was eager to help the Tundra. He tried his best to assist Slaughterhouse, but as he approached the wound in Iur's abdomen, he found himself woozy and faint. Doomed to never achieving the position he wanted, Iur learned that he grew sick at the sight of other dragon's blood. Fletcher repurposed his knowledge and talent into becoming an herbalist. He prided himself on cultivating his own herb gardens and scavenging for what Arcane territory was not fertile enough to grow. After reading up and consulting Slaughterhouse, the young Tundra learned all of the best methods for drying, crushing, and preserving herbs that cast out poisons, mended wounds, and cured stomach-aches. Soon, Aster Clan began to take Fletcher seriously. When he learned all he could from the dragons in his birth clan, he decided it was time to find a new home in Sornieth.
Fletcher has traveled to many different clans all over the globe, aiding different clans and tribes in their medical needs. However, he was usually considered an outcast in many of them, for his skinless appearance. In his older age, he has come to settle with the Relicta Clan in the Sunbeam Ruins.

RESHEPH
 RELATIONSHIP Resheph was just a newborn when Fletcher met him. Both of them had just moved into Relicta, and Resh was very shy and frightened easily. He was also relatively small for a Guardian dragon. Understand what it was like to be different, Fletcher attempted to befriend the little one with soft, kind words and sharing rations and time together. Eventually, their bond grew and now Fletcher views Resh as the son he never had. Resh has grown now to be much bigger than Fletcher, but he will still cower behind his adoptive father when frightened, which amuses him greatly. |

RELATIONSHIP Novka came to the Relicta shortly after Fletcher's arrival. Because she took a liking to Resh, and showed motherly affection for him, Fletcher couldn't help fall in love with her kind and caring nature. As they have gotten to know one another, he was distressed to discover that she believes herself to be ugly. Therefore, Fletcher has made great efforts to show her that her beauty and worth is not limited to her outward appearance. The two of them are a couple now, and Resh is their adopted son. |
