Safiyah

When she first arrived in Relicta, she had no name. Just an old ridgeback who had been wandering the wilds her whole life. The border patrol had come across her napping in the ruins one night. She was very sick and covered in scars and bruises, and she spoke very little.

Ezekial and the other doctors quickly set to work, treating her wounds and illness until she was strong and healthy again. But when she attempted to leave back out into the wild, Aelwen insisted she stay. This baffled her, as she had never been so quickly accepted into a clan by those who barely knew her.

After living her whole life in isolation and having to survive on her own, it took her a long time to adjust to clan life. Sharing meals, space, and laughter was all new to her. It also was a while before she finally came up with a name for herself, as Aelwen forbid anyone else to give one for her out of respect.

Touched by the warmth and kindness of Relicta, Safiyah founded and is now is head of the sanctuary for the elder dragons of the clan.
