-History- Frostedge, Bloodsmelt, and Steelwing are the three siblings of Bloodcrackle's and Nightveil's first litter. Despite the original plan of training them to be Paladins and exalting them to Flamecaller, the trio proved to be such exceptional teachers that they rejected the honor of exaltation and instead decided to stay within the Fortress to help it teach future generations of warriors. The previous teacher could definitely use a helping hand with the job, and the hatchlings wanted it so dearly there was no point in turning them away. As such, the Ex-Paladins are now reworking their honor status by uplifting newer dragons, so they could be exalted in their stead to help their deity. Frostedge is the colder of the three, having a stern nature and quick reactions. She trains the dragons to be tough and to never back down, even in the face of defeat. "Running away inflicts worse damage than being defeated; you may live if you run away, but you can never recover your honor again," she would say with serious tones. Being the eldest, she is given the task of teaching the older Paladins-in-training, smashing their anxiety with blunt experience and hardship. Frostforge affectionately calls her "The Seventh Gate", referring to a Fortress legend where the seventh gate encountered is one of hardship and trial designed to encourage growth and strength. Let's be honest though, many of the hatchlings find Frostedge to be completely terrifying, and I can't really blame them. -Extra- April Fool's 2016  ... (T_T) |
