-History- Nightveil is the main healer of the Fortress; ironic, because she's a Plague-born dragon. She arrived to Ashfall looking for a new life, and caught Bloodcrackle's eye. Cestienon still teases her son about how he managed to choose a Fae that looks eerily-identical to his own father, but he just rolls his eyes and ignores her. Nightveil, while a more mysterious character, doesn't mind casual chatter done specifically to relax or simply spread news around. Her background remains cryptic, as with many other adopted Fortress members, though she's very flexible as though she either had a very relaxed life, or a very hard life and simply learned to appreciate the things given to her. Her mate Bloodcrackle amuses her constantly, as his hyper speech will occasionally cut off as exhaustion sets in. "If you just calm down for once, maybe you won't pass out every five hours," she chided him. He simply sputtered about how Spirals are incapable of relaxation. Being an herbalist, Nightveil will accompany her fort-mates on foraging missions to gather healing ingredients. While her healing methods are much slower than a quick mending spell, the effects last much longer, leading to happier warriors complaining less about the pain. Her mate's extensive documentation on everything - as well as his collaborations with Moonburst and Ashlair - helps her improve her skill as the Fortress healer, earning her a very good reputation. It also takes some work off of the former Fortress healers' shoulders! She enjoys working with herbs - especially Plague plants found back home - so much that she has a small, live garden next to her nest that she tends to everyday, often taking plants from the hoard that still have their roots (or tend to grow back no matter what) and sticking them into her garden. As a result, many of the creeping and flowering vines indigenous to many areas have taken over that section of the Fortress cave, much to the delight of the hatchlings and the distaste of larger inhabitants. Hm... maybe that's why she left the Scarred Wasteland! -Extra- April Fool's 2016  "WHY." |
