Biography

Tinker

Tinker may have been born a Shadow dragon, but in her heart she's an Arcane. She loves to take things apart to see how they work (and sometimes forgets to put them back together again.) She's full of crazy ideas, some of which fail spectacularly. But that doesn't stop her from trying.

(Lore by GryphonSong)
In the midst of the Shade Plague, October 2015

Tinker watched as Rigil started working on something-or-other. Probably still trying to improve those leg braces. Too bad Wildclaws couldn't fly as well as Spirals, she thought, nervously looping around the lab. Else he could just stay in the air all the time and not have to worry. Didn't he care about the problems the rest of Sornieth was having? Sure, the Viridian Labyrinth was safe - for now - but if the Shade Plague wasn't stopped somehow, eventually it would come here too. And they were right on the edge. And Rigil was from the Shifting Expanse - they'd just gotten word of the plague's spread there. Didn't he care about his birth land? Even though they threw him out surely he'd be a little worried.
Tinker crashed into a table as she tied herself in a knot again and fell. Something tipped over, and she grabbed it before it broke. She looked it over. It was a small telescope. She started toying with it as she subconsciously unknotted herself. She flew out of the lab, above the lair, and trained the telescope south toward her birth home. The Tangled Wood was always dark, but today it seemed even darker, well and truly under the plague's grip. Tinker didn't know much about medicine, but she wasn't sure medicine could help something like the Shade. She thought of the chemicals in the lab, and the telescope in her hands.
And then she started to tinker.
