Royal and regal, Aurum is a dragon that holds himself high, but acts very humble. He is soft spoken, and thinks more with logic than emotion. He does not think that violence is always needed, and is always out to find a peaceful solution. He is not someone who will blindly go into something, but he gets his facts and then acts. Never underestimated him though, his mind is smart, extremely smart and he knows what he must do if he has to. This does make him very deadly when it comes down to it. He knows human combat, how to fight a few different ways.. some would say Aurum was human. But in a sense.. long ago he was. Aurum is a dragon that does care deeply, and will always act as a friend to someone, be someone to talk to or ask for advice from . He always speaks in truth, Aurum has never been one to ever tell a lie in his life. He holds no judgment, and does not hold person's past against them. Aurum is a dragon of pure heart, and a good mind. Aurum will protect anyone he is close to, with a very fierce demeanor. He does not stand for the unnecessary pain or suffering of a person, or animal and will often times be the one to stick up for someone else. Aurum's sense of justice is very strong, and it can affect him when he sees something happen. He has a very strong sense and knowledge of the human world, because of how he has lived in life.

Aurum's life was one that started on Sornieth. Unlike most the Cathkarta Dragons, Aurum is an Original brought to Loonrian by human hunters. His mother an ice dragon his father a plague dragon. Both had found a home within the water flight. Life was good, till his father was unfaithful to his mother. Sadly, just found out a few days after their first nest of eggs had been laid. Without another word, his mother took one of the two eggs and fled. She herself making he way towards the Light Flight. But the battle there was long and hard, her body not strong enough to make long flight. But a mother will do anything for her children. She made it to the Sunbeam Ruins, but not soon enough. She crash landed, her body too far gone. Passing away with her one egg curled into her body. The clan in the area was a rather royal clan of Light Imps. Ones who had a very structured rank system. They gathered around the body of the fallen female, soon bringing their leaders to her side. As they began to move the body to be buried properly, an egg rolled out from her side. A female Imp, the mate of the king took it into her paws, looking to her mate with a begging expression. She herself, had never bee able to produce any eggs. It was her chance, and he allowed it.
Aurum was born to the clan, looking nothing like his bright crystal parents for clan members. Plus his blue water eyes. But the young dragon didn't mind, as he had been born of the king and queen of the clan in his eyes. Making he himself a royal. They trained and worked with young Aurum, teaching him to be king like, and to live to the code of the clan. That he did, he grew along side them all, with a regal air about him. He was next in line to rule, and he would do so with grace and dignity.
It was at a year old, that the first "Great Destruction" took place, he flew into combat like most the males of his clan. But he also watched many of them fall. He had never seen anything like it before, and by the end of it the damage done to the clan, and their land was great. Aurum's father, was dead before them all, along with many males. They had only a few eggs left, most the hatchlings taken. But it was in this chaos that Aurum was thrust into leadership. But he took the role naturally and became the king of his clan.
Aurum lead his clan through another "Great Destruction" the next year, able to keep them safe from most of the attack having taken them and hidden them away within the realm . But the next one, Aurum himself was not so Lucky. The humans swarmed the great red and gold wyrm, despite his violent attempts to freedom he was none the less subdued. Hoisted skyward in a metal box unknown to what was happening to him, or were he was going. He was more outraged that he had been taken away from his family and his clan. A dethroned King.
Aurum was bought as the first dragon for Cathkarta Arena. Unloaded from the ship and shifted down into the cage room where his new owner waited. Outrage within his new cage, Aurum thrashed about for the better part of a week before finally settling down. With the help of the vet, they sedated him, making sure to get the nural implant settled into his brain. Unlike the genetically manipulated dragons bred on Loonrian, Aurum would have to have a chip to ensure he could understand what his human owner wished. He woke the next day, able to understand what the human before him was saying. It all outraged the large male more. Aurum was sooon expected to fight in the arena, against another dragon brought in from another clan. Aurum was outraged, the other dragon a Sky Dancer bred on the planet. Aurum slaughtered his opponent dragon, the fight brutal. The first blood spilled on the Cathkarta sand floor.
Aurum went on to fight and bring down many dragons on that arena, most of the time not listening to orders on who was really to win the fight. He was undefeated I his first year, a king of the arena. Aurum was a royal, and intended to keep it that way. That was until he was retried to be a breeding dragon, then the arena mascot. He was often allowed to fly around the large arena before large prize fights, to open them up so to say. But other than that, he is stuck underground in his cage. A shell of his once great self. He was paired to Initium for more Original bred offspring.
