    Although he loves to spout the words of a wind dragon, he isn't one. He was born into a fully-heated fire clan. After moving, his body has done nothing but crave the heat and endurance he was given there. As the weather fluctuates here in Morning Glory, he appears to get sicker and sicker. He's nowhere near home, but during the summer he'll come out and hum as he gets embraced by the heat he's always needed. Painterly's body gets weaker as he's not heated. The clan has made separated rooms and sections dedicated to the fire members of the clan. Though most of the fire members don't grow weaker, they all hard times during the winter and spend most of their days in the heat.

    Painterly's original name was Terly. He was given this name by a passerby on the way to Morning Glory when he was a chick, but as the clan members got used to him he was nicknamed "Painterly" because of his once brightly colored feathers. Now'a days, his colors have dimmed. He's taken up an almost-pale, vintage-esk look to his feathers. He's not that old, but the lack of heat has really taken a tole on him.

    His favorite season, despite all means, is Spring. During Spring, the wind comes out to play with his feathers and his wings. He will deliberately fly to the highest possible point in order to get as much wind he can. He loves the feeling of the breeze across his face and feathers. Painterly Will spend almost all day soaring in one area all day, even falling asleep at some points if the wind is just right. It appears that Windsinger has brought this child a great gift. Able to endure the pain enough to be able to feel the season's greeting is good enough to him. Some believe that he's not gifted, that he's only playing some kind of joke on those around him. Some think that it's the Roc Feathered Crown he got that allows him to fly well. Either way, he's the king of the skies to some in the clan. Morning Glory loves his happy-go-lucky spirit, despite his dying discoloration.

    It's unlike some to be able to familiarize a Roc, but evidently he has. Rocs are very vicious when it comes to attacking dragons. They know that their area is threatened with them there. Despite all that, he was able to fly right next to and untie a trapped Crowned Roc that someone else might have tried to kill. After noticing the feathers on his head, the Roc immediately came to and bonded with him. Something with the feathers have made Painterly wary about the supposed power they posses. He's unsure whether or not it was really those feathers or just dumb luck.
