Marietta "Mari"
Scavenger & Florist
"One dragon's trash is another dragon's...food? I forget the saying." Marietta grew up in the Ashfall Wastes, though she never really felt comfortable there. Her clan mates were friendly and loving enough, but the environment itself was the problem. The smoke and ash got stuck in her throat, under her scales. Eventually, worried about burdening the rest of her clan, she convinced her brother Evan to make a journey to a different climate with her. Another of her siblings, Zex, made the trip as well, convinced he was needed to look after his more impulsive nestmates. Though the trek through the Shifting Expanse was difficult, they managed to come out fairly healthy. Feeling slightly guilty for convincing her brothers to come with her, Marietta took the initiative for the group's survival, becoming a talented scavenger. Eventually, they reached the Sunbeam Ruins and found their way to Clan Therzana, who were happy enough to welcome the young dragons into their lair. Marietta herself loved the new environment, and became especially enamored with the flowers that grew around the caves. She still likes to spend her time picking and arranging them for her clanmates. In general, Marietta is a friendly dragon, though she can come across as evasive and is prone to dishonesty. She's close with both of her brothers, though has a particularly strong bond with Evan, who she dotes on. She's quite forward-thinking and hates to dwell on the past, which also means that she tends to be forgetful and not one to hold grudges. Marietta serves as the clan's florist as well as one of its scavengers, and she delights in collecting odd baubles. |
