An outlier; Melody's peaceful demeanor and soft-spoken ways hold no real 'battle instinct', which baffled just about everyone else in the ragtag clan she's from.
Found wandering within the clan's territory during a brutal winter, Melody's even-tempered manner quickly made friends (as much as friends can be made with some of the clan) and earned herself a permanent home whenever she should desire one. Having a strong case of wanderlust, Melody does not often remain within the borders of the clan, preferring instead to see where the wind might take her. Acting as a messenger now that she's older, Melody is busiest during the cold months of the year when travel to others is roughest (but most comfortable for her). Following paths only she seems to know, her satchels are almost always brimming with scrolls and packages ready to be delivered. She can often be located by her singing, something she does to pass the time as she travels. When she settles down at the main lair (especially during the summer months), Melody is usually sleeping sprawled out in a shady, cool hideaway, and gets uncharacteristically cranky if woken too soon. During wartime, Melody is often used for scouting and reconnaissance as her constant traveling has given her a knowledge of the nearby lands more intimate than most maps can provide. Her magic allows her to distract and flee from most confrontations, but her stamina and fleet-footedness are her true advantages. |
