Barn Owl: These dragons have evolved to navigate the skies at night and are often excellent spies and nocturnal hunters. Compared to other dragons, their faces are slightly flattened and the fur surrounding the face grows in a disc shaped pattern that directs sound waves towards the ears. While listening, barn owl dragons often position their ears asymmetrically to pick up differences in sound waves and better locate their targets in the dark. Their feathers are also extremely soft and modified with additional velvet-like projections, which allow them to fly silently.
