Xochiquetzal

Born in Light and a short time resident in Plague, Xochiquetzal finally made her way to the Zephyr Steppes where her heart led her to found a clan of her own. She dreamed of a place where she and her followers could be safe and free.

Soon other dragons began to filter into the clan. Among them was an imperial named Daenerys who was a former clanmate during Xochi's time in Plague. The large imperial was ambitious and sought to usurp the rule from Xochi. When she attempted her bid for power the then young coatl surprised her by being already prepared to fight. Despite her size and age advantage, Daenerys found herself at a draw with the quick and agile Xochiquetzal. An agreement was made that so long as Daenerys remained in Clan Byxmori, she would be allowed rights as a co-matriarch.

In time many dragons came and left as the capricious winds blew them in and out. One who decided to stay was a dark coatl male with lovely green feathers, Itztli. He and Xochi quickly grew very fond of each other and soon pledged their intent to be life-mates. Together they have hatched many healthy hatchlings. Most decided to travel to other clans and were encouraged by their parents.

After a time, Daenerys the imperial decided to leave, leaving Xochiquetzal the single matriarch of the clan. Thanks to the diverse members of the clan, she can generally relax a focus on scouting new members and counseling those who wish to travel on.


Name means "flower feather".
Also named after the Nahuatl goddess of fertility, beauty, female sexual power, protection of young mothers, pregnancy, childbirth, and women's crafts.
