Lady Frost was renowned for her beautiful singing voice, soft as a feather and sweet as honey, she used to put on shows for her clan from a young age. Because of this, she was initially pushed towards working with the bards and musicians of her clan, as “it would be a shame to waste such a lovely voice on anything other than music”. Though she loved to sing, she didn't feel the call to such a profession. Her calm protests met deaf ears however, so she waited, biding her time until an opportunity to prove she was suited for something else other than music arose.

After weeks and weeks of waiting, said opportunity finally arrived. The patrol of the clan grounds didn't go as far as usual due to unforeseen circumstances, so this led to part of the area was left unguarded. From here, a disoriented spirit broke the boundaries from the ghostlight ruins. Though disoriented spirits can be less aggressive than their counterparts, malevolent spirits, they are still known to attack and lay waste, so naturally one getting into camp wasn't wonderful. It lashed out at the first dragon it encountered and began to generally wreck it's surroundings.

Lady Frost had been drawn to the commotion and upon seeing the spirit surrounded by her clansmen her heart was filled with pity and compassion.

“Wait! Stop, you’re making it worse!” She cried out, forcing her way through the amassed dragons to the front.

“Can’t you all see you’re scaring it? Move back! Give it space!”

She honestly didn’t know at that moment exactly what she was going to do, but honestly, anything would be better than this. She shoo’d the imposing dragons further back from the frightened creature, approaching slowly and carefully, wary of the fear in it’s eyes and the violence it could produce. Looking into it’s eyes, however, it finally clicked. The solution, what she could do to calm and sooth it, the “only” thing she could do.

She started to sing. It was an old song, one she’d known forever. It was a lullaby that told of nothing in particular but was set to a calm, soothing, and slightly lilting tune and the verses are laid out in such a way that it could go on for as long as you like. She sang out calm and clear in her beautiful voice in the hope that it would still the fretting creature.

The reaction was better than even she had dared hope. The surrounding dragons immediately hushed, but that wasn’t the important thing. The spirit started to calm down straight away, and lost its aggressive stance. Once she was a few verses in, it had quieted enough for her to approach and touch it, and it let her gently carry it to the part of the lair where the rest of the familiars were kept if not bonded to a dragon.
The clan members were awestruck at the way she had handled the situation, and finally listened to her with regards to her future, and so began her work with familiars.


NOTES:
Her familiar is named Confucius and is the same one that started her out in her current focus of working with familiars. They travelled from clan to clan seeking one that had a program to help familiars. When they arrived in Crosiafall she was immediately pleased with how familiars were treated and even more please with Crosiafall's familiar wrangler, Damian Frost.
