Wynter has lived her entire life in the Southern Icefield, working as a star mapper, traveling to the most desolate places in the Icefield to watch the stars. The Southern Icefield, not only being her birthplace, is the perfect place for her job, being able to see the stars perfectly in the icy tundras and mountains, where the sky is clear and the air is cool, the only thing blocking view occasionally is storms and blizzards. Wynter also loves flowers and growing gardens, but she can't grow anything in the harsh weather of the Icefield, she only has managed to barely grow Heatherbed Lilies, and so they are her favorite flowers, something she cherishes dearly. Life as a star mapper is nice, being able to see all over the area, see wonderful, beautiful things she never would have been able to see, and she loves it, but it's also... Very lonely, to say the least... Sometimes, she'd like to sit down in the snow and watch the stars, hoping and day dreaming that perhaps someday, she'd have someone to enjoy the company of. Then, it happened. One fate filled day, she was near the ocean, watching a bright star hovering in the distance above the Ashfall Waste. It was beautiful, and made her feel chills of joy. Soon, she lied down, a bit melancholy about her lack of company, when suddenly, she felt like a burning warm, bright star had landed beside her. It was a Guardian male, bright as the sun. After her initial nervousness and fear, she soon found out something amazing... This dragon, Sebuku, had been on his Search for years, and he finally had found his Charge: Her. At first she couldn't believe it, but why would he lie? How did he even find her in this blissful blizzard? His blazing yellow Light filled eyes shined brightly, like a star... How could a dragon so amazing and passionate and protective and faithful as he have her, a boring star mapper, as his Charge? It was as if fate and destiny knew she was lonely, and he needed a Charge, and so brought them together. Fire and Ice. She grew to love him in the following weeks, only for the sweet, icy weather being too much for his burning, inner flames and embers. She helped him back to the Ashfall Waste, where he recovered quickly, but her own health began to deteriorate in the hot weather.... They decided that... They would have to be apart until they could figure something out... She longs for her Guardian to return, but now they can only visit, but when they do, it's a long awaited and happy day, but she wishes that they could be together continually.... |
