Biography

Observation Journal Entry for #16726046 - 9/15
Joined clan on 9/14. However, after 24 hours, did not display any symptoms of infection. After a supposedly routine physical checkup, subject has been directly injected with spores to test his assumed immunity.

9/16
Subject appears fatigued and feverish, but senses remain fully functional. Motor functions are sluggish, but accurate. Able to accurately answer all status questions. It appears that the subject's immune system is able to combat the spores, though their success remains to be seen.

9/17
Subject has recovered entirely from fever and fatigue. All mental faculties are fully functional. The infection has failed, however some scarring has remained on the hide surface. Scars appear to become bioluminescent when a fully infected dragon is in close proximity. Perhaps this could be of some use.

Later - 9/17
I have proposed to the Matriarch that the subject is assigned an infected mate, as a second experiment. Initially after learning of this new clan member's immunity, she wished to exile him immediately. However, after some explanation of the usefulness of such a creature, she conceded that it would surely help further the good of the clan to allow him to remain, and that perhaps breeding him with a carrier would be a useful pursuit. I look forward to examining the resulting offspring.

10/26
The offspring were absolutely fascinating. Two of them inherited their father's spore immunity. The other two were born as carriers, but woefully ill. It has been strongly suggested by the Matriarch that I dispose of all of them, and that if we somehow discover a need for these spore-immune monstrosities, we have the means to breed them. I will certainly comply with this request, but in my own time. There are many tests to be done, and they have only just reached adulthood.

10/27
The Matriarch insisted on the disposal of all offspring belonging to #16726046 immediately. I had no choice but to comply. Three of them have been exalted by the time of my writing this entry. The altar is terribly slippery now though, I surely must send for a carrier to clean up this mess before I continue. And they are so very slow in their duties, perhaps the exaltation of the last offspring will need to wait until tomorrow.

10/28
The firstborn has mysteriously escaped. In my boundless shame, I neglected to inform the Matriarch of this occurrence. I have been instructed to make a record that this was a foolish mistake.
The spores encompass the entirety of this mighty clan's territory. They see, and the Matriarch hears.

My penance will be enacted shortly. I suspect that this experiment has come to an end, at least by my own claws. Such a waste. Not a single one of my clanmates possesses a scientific mind. There will surely be someone though - or something - watching over this escaped young one.

And I'm sure that some part of it will look forward to the results.
