Biography
Edge
Fisher, Mate to Brim, Rank - High
Fisher, Mate to Brim, Rank - High
‘’Is this really a good idea?’’ The hesitant male voice echoed in his mind and the Coatl let out an exasperated noise as he shot a glare over to the circular lantern dangling from his wing.
‘’Shut up,’’ the Coatl hissed lowly, eyes focused on the sleeping form of the large Imperial on the grassy steppe below the one he was crouched on. The Imperial’s body shifted slightly and Edge froze in place, watching to see if the large male was waking up… but all the darkly-colored dragon did was shift a bit in his sleep, white wings stretching a bit to cover his body more thoroughly.
‘’Edge, I don’t think—‘’
‘’That seems to be a recurring problem with you,’’ Edge interrupted sharply as he kept his voice barely a whisper, tail lashing a bit against the ground so the grass would muffle the tinkling sound of the small steampunk lantern it held. ‘’Ever since I freed you from that glacier back in the Fortress of Ends and brought you along, you’ve been an extremely annoying voice of conscious.’’
‘’And with what you’re planning on doing? It seems like you need one, stupid,’’ was all the spirit huffed in return, something that Edge pointedly ignored as he focused his attention once again on the Imperial below him. He’d noticed the male leaving the clan more and more as of late, and Edge – being the overly curious individual that he was – decided to follow the Imperial to see what the other was up to. He’d been sorely disappointed, however, when all he found was that the other mainly left the lair to meditate with the peace and quiet that the steppes provided. He was hoping for an adventure and got a very bland surprise in return.
Pushing himself to his feet, the Coatl launched himself off his steppe and glided a moment before unceremoniously plopping himself down directly on the Imperial’s head, startling the dragon awake. ‘’Luka! What’cha doing out here all alone?’’ Edge asked, feigning innocence as he leaned forward to meet the other male’s wide gaze… albeit his own was upside-down.
The Imperial made a slightly irate noise in his throat before simply letting out a sigh, moving to rest his head on the ground. ‘’Simply meditating without the rest of the Clan breathing down my neck… kind of like what you’re doing,’’ Luka replied, frowning a bit as the Coatl clambered down his face to sit in front of him, front paws pressed on his snout. Luka was tempted to snap at the paws on his face, but refrained, huffing instead. ‘’Why are you out here anyways? I would think you’d be pranking the hatchlings and scaring them out of their minds instead of bothering me.’’
‘’I already did that yesterday, though,’’ Edge said with a bit of a pout, drawing a short chuckle from the Imperial.
‘’Let me guess: Alba caught you?’’
‘’… Maybe.’’ Luka rolled his eyes, not surprised at that answer. He shifted to his feet, the frown coming to his face again as Edge scrambled his way up the Imperial’s face to rest atop his head. Knowing he wasn’t going to get rid of his curious companion anytime soon, the Imperial opened his wings and let the strong breeze pick him off his feet to carry the both of them back to their Clan’s lair.
