B I O G R A P H Y

______ Izar started her life in clan Lodestar, the daughter of Hesperi and Arcturus she lead a happy if somewhat sheltered life learning magic from her mother and enjoying the small privileges that came from being the leader's only child. She met Lorcan one day when her father brought him in from the cold, having found him wandering aimlessly around the southern ice fields.

Once Hesperi had determined that all Lorcan had was some frost bite and a case of snowblindness she turned the job of healing him over to Izar figuring he would be a good practice case for her daughter. Izar was already somewhat taken with the large imposing looking mirror when she settled down beside him to heal his paws. There was something endearing about seeing such an obvious warrior unable to walk under his own power. And though the magic stung him as feeling returned to his limbs he never once growled or clawed at her as some of the familiars under her care had done. Instead he thanked her gently and asked her name.

As Lorcan recovered the two grew closer. She would ask him about what life was like outside the ice fields, having never traveled more than a mile or so from her home in her entire life. Intrigued by her wanderlust (and perhaps with a few selfish motives of his own) he made a deal with her. Help him find the ice crystals he'd come to this place to collect, and he would take her back with him to the shifting expanse to see all sorts of things she had never seen before. Readily she agreed on the condition that her mother not be told, since she would surely disagree with such reckless behavior and stop her from leaving.

And so it was that Lorcan smuggled her away under his wing and brought her to his lair. There he treated her to the most extravagant things. Insects she had never seen before. Fantastic lightning storms charged with magic as much as electricity. His by then already impressive efforts at building a paradise all his own. And by the time her parents had figured out where she had gone he had already presented her with a diamond as large as her head and asked earnestly if she might stay with him as his mate. She agreed and the two have been beyond happy together ever since.

Izar is like most fae, she expresses emotion primarily through body language rather than tone and her manner of speaking is very formal and dry. However she is incredibly emotive with her fins to the point that even dragons not familiar with Fae body language can usually tell what she is trying to express. She has an interest in cartography and often accompanies Lorcan out while he hunts so that she can study the landscape. Her maps are excellent and she takes pride in her ability to help lost travelers find their way again.
