         “What ill words they have to speak about me shall simply bounce from these scales of mine and I will remain unharmed. I am my own warrior and I will protect what is mine! Let the naysayers go on their own way; let them say what they will! I laugh in their faces, spit at their feet! I am strong!” 
Brash and sharp-tongued, Dairven, quite frankly, doesn't put up with anyone's shenanigans. He's the first to start a fight if he catches wind of an insult or even if someone looks at him wrong and he won't stop until he's broken a few limbs at times. His violent tendencies and unwillingness to back down originate from his naturally chaotic Skuhlpenine blood, but while those traits can often be hindrances, they are powerful pros when protecting the ones he loves.

Ever since Dairven could remember, he had always been treated as an outsider. He was different, a half-blooded child of a wealthy family. He was the product of a forbidden affair that was never supposed to be born. The Ahnwinian people-- as well as his mother-- made that painfully obvious for him growing up. As such, he was never kept in public for long and often his whole existence was denied by his family. It was this neglect and treatment that often caused young Dairven to act out, learning that such behavior at least got him noticed and once he'd formed the habit, it was a hard one to break. Though, finally, Dairven began to loathe his family, all but his brother Darrow. Dairven firmly believes that Darrow is the reason he never became corrupted. The young Ahnwinian was the only one who ever spoke to or played with him. Darrow was always the one coming to his rescue, talking back to others to defend Dairven, even when it got him bullied or beat up in the process. Often times it was Dairven and his remarkable strength that really did the rescuing, even as they grew older. Yet, even in their older years, Dairven's treatment remained the same and his behavior only grew worse. Dairven was sent to the Ahnwinian military academy as an attempt to whip him into shape after multiple fights, separating him from his brother who was being mentored. The academy was grueling and draining, but Dairven graduated with high marks, to everyone's surprise. He was sent to be corrected and he emerged a formidable soldier and now the Ahnwinian people feared him. Dairven never saw fair treatment in his short lifetime on Ahnwin. He and Darrow left their planet and it's struggling views of equality behind in search of a new, more tolerant place to live; it was this search that lead them to Sornieth.
