An apothecary from an ice clan, he traveled to the light flight in hopes of studying the plants there to further his medicinal research. He went into the territory of the Shadow Clans to study plants he saw for the first time. When he bent down to smell the aroma and record it, he collapsed. Apparently the fungus emitted a strong aroma that caused anyone that got to close to collapse and faint.

Normally victims of the plant end up dying, but a local Shadow clan herbalist was out and saw Littleclaw go down. She took him to her little cave and mixed up an elixir to heal him. When Littleclaw woke up he saw Shadow above him. She explained the situation and how she healed him. Littleclaw stayed with Shadow for three days before heading back home.

A week later, Shadow showed up at the gates of the clan and was pleading to see Littleclaw. Shadow was kicked out of her clan for helping someone of the Light flight. Littleclaw talked to October to see if she could stay with him. Shadow became the Shadow Ambassador for the clan and Shadow became his mate for life.
